Wayne Public Schools is accepting applications for the: 

Agricultural Education Instructor position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Wayne Public Schools Job Opportunity 

Apprentice – K–12 Teacher (Paraprofessional Track) 

Join the Wayne Public Schools Teacher Registered Apprenticeship Program and begin your pathway to becoming a certified teacher. This paraprofessional role allows you to support classroom instruction through small-group work, one-on-one student support, and general assistance to the classroom teacher—while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow into a full teaching role.

As an Apprentice, you’ll learn from mentor teachers and participate in on-the-job training as you complete your degree and/or certification program through a low- or no-cost pathway. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, want hands-on school experience, and are committed to building a career in education.

Non-Certified Openings

Wayne Public Schools is looking for a new custodial team member. We need help keeping our schools clean, safe, and ready for our students. You can join our custodial (cleaning) team and make a real difference every day. 

Two Ways to Work With Us: 

1. The Teacher Path: This is your chance to start on the path to becoming a certified teacher. In this role, you will help our schools stay clean, safe, and ready for students. While you work, we will help you get the skills and training you need to move into your own classroom as a teacher. 

2. The Regular Job Path: Not interested in becoming a teacher? That is perfectly fine. You do not have to be in the apprenticeship program to work here. We are also hiring people who just want a steady job helping our schools run smoothly.

• Bus Drivers: Be the first and last friendly face our students see every day. Your mission is to provide safe, reliable transportation while maintaining a positive and orderly environment on the bus. 

• Substitutes: Maintain a productive and safe learning environment when the primary teacher is absent. You aren't just a placeholder; you are the bridge that keeps the day’s lesson on track.
