Lunchroom Changes 2016/2017

posted Jul 30, 2016, 5:02 PM by Michelle Matthews

Wayne Public Schools will be raising meal prices this year.  Elementary full price will go to $2.00 for lunch and breakfast will remain free for all students.  Middle and High School students will pay $2.50 for lunch with breakfast free for all students.  Reduced prices remain at .40 cents for all students who qualify.  Parents are strongly encouraged to fill out a free/reduced application for lunches at enrollment.  The sooner we have you in the system the sooner everyone knows what to expect.  Parents are also strongly encouraged to pay in advance for student lunches. Middle School and High School students who incur an unpaid lunch bill will need to consider an alternative meal plan or pay as they go.  The breakdown will be as follows:

Daily   Weekly Monthly

Elementary Full Price $2.00 $10.00 $40.00

Elementary Reduced $.40 $2.00 $8.00

Middle Full Price $2.50 $12.50 $50.00

Middle Reduced $.40 $2.00 $8.00

High School Full Price $2.50 $12.50 $50.00

High School Reduced $.40 $2.00 $8.00

As always, the staff at the school cafeteria will be striving to bring healthy and tasty meals to our students.  Their welfare is important to us all and we look forward to serving them and our community for another year.  I would like to remind parents that only one application listing ALL students and other family members in the household will suffice.  Also be sure that you fill out the income and Social Security portion of the form even if you have 0 income.  Filling these forms out is important not only to the lunch program but to EVERY program or grant that our school may qualify for.

Immunization Requirements

posted May 29, 2015, 4:21 PM by Wayne Bulldogs   [ updated Jul 9, 2015, 7:50 AM ]

It is required by the State of Oklahoma that children be vaccinated per their guidelines. If you are unsure if your child is up to date on their shots it is always a good idea to contact your child’s healthcare provider to make sure. The school must have an updated immunization record on file for each student enrolled. Thanks in advance in your cooperation in this matter. Listed below are the following immunizations that you child is required to have per grade level needed.

Oklahoma state law requires children entering into Pre-Kindergarten to have the following shots before entering school: 4 DTaP, 3 IPV, 1 MMR, 3 HepB, 2 HepA and 1 Varicella.

Before your child enters Kindergarten it is required that they have 5 DTAP, 4 IPV, 2 MMR, 3 HepB, 2 HepA, and 1 Varicella. The 5th shot of DTAP is not required if the child’s 4th dose is administered on or after the child’s 4th birthday.

Before your child enters 7th Grade it is required that they have 1 TDAP Booster.
