The purpose of this organization shall be to create
enthusiasm for scholarships, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in students.

NHS sponser is in charge of day to day supervision of the students within the local chapter, setting up and directing meetings,
being a liasion between faculty, administration, students and community. The sponser maintains files on membership, chapter history, activities and financial transactions.
Amy Tolle, High School counsler, is the 2009-2010 NHS sponser.

Canidate requirements for eligibilty are as follows....

Student must be a Jr/Sr.
Student must have cummulative GPA of 3.0.
Student must be evaluated on service, leadership, and character.
Student must be selected by majority of votes by faculty council.

Membership is an honor.

Selection for membership is done by a faculty council and is based on out standing scholarship, character, leadership and service. Candidates become members when selected and approved by faculty council and inducted at a special ceremony.

Meetings will be held 1-2 times a month in the high school library from 11:45 - 12:15. Meeting dates will be posted on announcements, discussed at previous meetings, and announced over the intercome.

This year we are really focusing on becoming more service minded. We are going to work hard and assist in several service projects.
